|J.T. Jet Bows are a remarkable value for the price. Both the carbon-fiber and the braided carbon-fiber models that Strings reviewed are lively, responsive, easy to control, and draw a big, clear, if not too complex, tone out of the instrument. All at an affordable price suited to students and adult beginners.|
Both of the violin bow models weighed exactly 60.7 grams and had remarkably close balance points, yet each felt and handled differently. The carbon-fiber model felt quick and light and hung in at the head, while the braided carbon-fiber model drew a smoother tone and felt a bit more weighted toward the frog. Both bows are straight with good-quality rehairs. Though they are priced for the student market, a professional might enjoy one as a spare bow.
